Command Software Systems 1996 Conference Software distributors from over a dozen countries gathered at the Jupiter Beach Resort November 24-26, 1996 for the annual CSS International Sales Conference. The main purpose of the meeting, according to Bob Pedraza, International Sales was to compare ideas, goals, and challenges involved in the marketing and technical support of anti-virus software. Also discussed was telemarketing, and how it impacts each individual country. Dyan Dyer, President of Command, welcomed the distributors, and encouraged them to be interactive during the international conclave. Other speakers included Charlie Clements, Vice President of Sales & Marketing; Therese Padilla, Director of Product Management; Lance McKay, Director of International Sales; Bob Pedraza, International Sales; Joanne Urbanik, Director of Marketing; Michael Quesnel, Manager Software Services; Dr. Richard Ford, Technical Director; Patrick Nolan, Technical Support Analyst; Megan Alexander, Webmaster; Christopher Debracy, Windows Architect/Developer; Sarah Gordon, Security Analyst; Tom Bogart, FPN Architect/Developer; Anthony Nacrelli, Controller; and Ann Olsen, Accountant. . The distributors were entertained with daily, post-session activities that featured a cocktail reception, welcoming the delegates; a beach barbecue at Jupiter�s Carlin Park, featuring a Caribbean Reggae band; an evening cruise on the intra-coastal waterway and a formal dinner at Mar-A-Largo, Palm Beach, concluding the 3-day meeting. Dyan Dyer thanked the distributors for their participation; and spoke about Command Software�s future, international goals; including mention of "Around The World in �97", whereby Command�s staff will be visiting foreign distributors to observe sales and marketing techniques. A highlight of the conference was the premier of the "Take Command" video. The video shows the speed of a virus attack and the rapid cure Command�s F-PROT Professional delivers, all set to a powerful "high tech" audio track. Copies of the video are being provided to all attendees. Lance McKay and Bob Pedraza presented plaques to the attendees recognizing them as Authorized Distributors of Command Software Systems products. Delegates from Columbia, Equador, Mexico, and Dominican Republic remained to assist the Command international staff at the COMDEX/Hispano America Conference held in Miami Dec. 4-6, 1996.
