JUPITER, FL. - Data security provider Command Software Systems Inc. announces the new release of F-PROT Professional for NetWare, featuring the award-winning scanning engines of its workstation module, F-PROT Professional.

F-PROT Professional for NetWare features a completely new NLM. Deployment of the program is easy and flexible, allowing installation for any Windows workstation or directly from the system console. Network managers can configure the program including scheduling periodic scans from remote locations.

F-PROT Professional for NetWare is the only anti-virus NetWare-loadable module to offer automatic disinfection, which can be programmed for real-time or manual scans. Bundled with F-PROT is a sophisticated alert program called AlertTrack, published by e.g. Software. AlertTrack coordinates all system alerts by allowing network applications such as backup or auditing to forward their alerts to AlertTrack. Using a Windows management console from any workstation. AlertTrack can also be programmed to send alerts to numeric and alphanumeric pages, SNMP alerts, network broadcast alerts, FaxWare Fax alerts and MHS Mail and Pegasus Mail alerts.

F-PROT Professional guards workstations against viral attacks with a multi-layered line of data protection. Its Virtual Device Driver (VxD) works in the background of Windows, protecting both DOS and Windows sessions concurrently. Detecting more than 6,000 viruses, F-PROT also sports a heuristic scanner to provide protection from previously-unknown viruses.
